A kids’ holiday camp certified by the Jeunesse et Sport organisation (a manager, two activity organisers and a qualified instructor), a true holiday camp with a horse-riding theme.
Organisé en deux groupes : 9-11ans et 11-13ans et répartis à cheval par groupes de niveaux.
Two groups: 9-11 years and 11-13 years, grouped according to ability. A first week of multisport based on horse riding, kayaking, swimming and discovering the region. The second week … riding every day, with a goal at the end of the week – a superb two day trek to Montbel lake.
Accommodation is on-site at the riding school in large comfortable tents (groups of 4, with beds and individual storage space) Hard-standing sanitary blocks and dining area.
For young children who are passionate about horses and ponies.
Day 1
- Reception of the children at the Soularac riding school from 4pm
- The staff team settle the kids in their tents (the children unpack their own suitcases, we do an inventory, outline the group rules and explain the schedule for the holiday).
- Meal and games
- Night at the centre
Day 2
- This first morning, the riding teacher will pair up riders and their ideal horse or pony. She will allow you to choose whether to ride a horse or a pony depending on your preferences and ability level
- Each child will keep the same horse or pony throughout the week
- Lessons in the indoor or outdoor schools in the morning to get to know your mount and learn trekking techniques
- In the afternoon, a hack out in the countryside around the centre
- Care of the horses

Days 3 and 4
- Lessons in the indoor or outdoor schools in the morning
- In the afternoon, we will go on a ride to Rouget and explore the “chemin des fontaines”
- Care of the horses

Day 5
- Off to the beautiful turquoise blue Montbel lake for an initiation in canoeing with Mika and his team
- Swimming to freshen up, and a picnic on the shady banks of the lake with viezs of the Pyrenean peaks in the distance
- Evening meal and night at the centre
- Veillée
Day 6
- Riding session in the indoor or outdoor school in the morning
- Care of the horses
- Afternoon spent on a range of activities, such as group games, trampoline, manual activities
- Meal and night at the centre
Day 7
- On site activities and games in the morning
- Riding lesson or hack in the afternoon
- Meals and night at the centre, with a cinema evening
Day 8
- Morning lie-in and quiet time
- Afternoon visiting the Medieval town of Mirepoix, with its cathedral, 12th century cloisters and narrowroads and coloured architecture
- Meal, games evening and night at the centre
Days 9 and 10
- Lessons in the indoor or outdoor school in the morning to perfect trekking techniques
- In the afternoon, a hack out in the countryside around the centre
- Care of the horses
- Meal and night at the centre
Day 11
- We head out for a full-day ride with picnic lunch to the medieval town of Mirepoix
- We pass below the ruins at Quié and pass several herds of cows before arriving in Mirepoix, which we cross on horseback
- Picnic on the banks of the River l’Hers and return on the voie verte (greenway, former railway route)where we can pick up the pace
- Care of the horses
- Meal and night at the centre
Day 12
- This morning is the big departure for the two-day trek to Montbel lake
- We pass by superb chateaux, those of Lagarde and Léran
- We travel along the Touyre River, where our horses can drink
- Swimming and afternoon snacks at the lake
- Meal and night camping
- Veillée trappeur
Day 13
- After breakfasting and taking care of our horses, we take narrow widing tracks along the lake banks and then cross the pretty village of Camon, where we stop for our picnic
- Gallops on the greenway and crossing the River l’Hers on horseback
- Care and kisses for our horses and ponies on return
- Night at the centre with a disco/party
Day 14
- Breakfast, then tidying and sorting kit. Hugs for friends!
- End of camp 10am

C’était vraiment super, je me suis éclatée! Les anims,monos et enfants sont vraiment sympas! Je suis super contente de mon cheval Image…qui était génial tout au long du séjour.
